leeds lad
Friday morning on my way across to see James, left my wallet in toilet near John Peel. Around £200 in cash, ticket, bank cards driving licence etc. didn't realise until stood at the other stage. Mad dash back to the loo but all gone. Anyway after asking at a few help points managed to track it down. Massive relief! i would like to thank the guy who kindly handed it in. Restored my faith in humanity, especially for an old cynic like me. Once again many thanks mate. Had a great festival, in spite of the mud! leeds lad
Just a bump if your lurking out there. Anybody else out there have any good deeds happen too them?
uscore
Nice one that person. I've lost my wallet twice before, both times with that kind of money in. One of those times it ended up in lost property, but neither time did i get back the cash
Digital Monkey (Womad)
My wallet fell out my trouser pocket when eating dinner near West Holts.THankfully soon realised after 5 or 10 minutes. Returned and found it on ground still there. Major relief. Probably helped it was dark so no-one noticed wallet on ground

Yes I guess so but as uscore has stated, you may not end up with any cash left. As mentioned in other threads I guess that's why you use the lock ups

As mentioned in other threads I guess that's why you use the lock ups I once saw two young women hand in a wallet to the Lock Up people saying they'd just found it. To say it was bulging with cash is an understatement. All I was trying to say was that there are more good people out there than bad - fortunately. phil the shrew
I left my phone in the Caberet tent just before Josh Widdicombe came on. Many thanks to the guy who picked it up and kept hold of it until I could get back in - very kind gentleman
dizzymoo
I found someone's wallet by the Park stage just after Daughter finished on Friday. Had lot of cash in. I handed it to one of the stewards who took it to the stewards' hut. Hope the owner got it back.
Starchild771
I found two iphones last year (on seperate occasions) and handed them in to the nearest lockups. I would like to think that most people would rather cheer someone up rarher than profit from their misfortune - especially when you have easily re-claimable things like phones and wallets. BlackHole2006
My wallet fell out when I was drinking cocktails at Tiny Tea Tent. I went out of the tent, realized it was gone, rushed back to the tent and thankfully it was on the floor, covered in mud.
Messy
Lost my wallet with £150 in it. Got it back minus the cash. Oh well.
Dave F.
Wallets falling out of back pockets is the reason I use a bum bag at the festival. I'm aware they're not the trendiest item, but I reckon I they're cooler than looking like a panicking gibbon running around site & scrabbling through the mud looking for your money. Alternatively conect your wallet to your belt hoops with a long chord.Much less outlay than £
Chimps in Balaclavas
Dropped my wallet with 250 cash back in 04. Luckily it was spotted seconds later & handed back to me by some Grimsby lads who happened to be neighbours. Wouldn't take a reward either. There are decent people out there, plenty at festivals. purplebridget
One of my friends lost her iPhone she called it the next morning and a girl answered and arranged somewhere for it to be picked up so definitely good honest people around
Chawk
That's great you got it back + cash. It sucks but some people think it's acceptable to take the cash as like a reward for finding lost stuff.
