I know it wouldn't be popular round here, but what about Calvin Harris? He headlined Coachella 2016 , nobody seems to have mentioned him at all? any reason for that? other than wishful thinking?

i just very much doubt they'd book a headliner who essentially goes up there, does fuck all, and then walks off stage an hour and a half later. popular as he may be, there's nothing live about his show apart from the fact that he's there. would be a travesty of a headliner

I don't really care who they book to headline, but I would personally draw the line at a bloke stood behind a laptop, jumping up and down for 90 minutes. 

I'm sure there are people that would strongly argue against that, but I agree with you that someone like Calvin Harris headlining would be a travesty. Keep that on the Other stage if you're desperate to book it.
