It's not an issue for me as I carry my own bottle. I was under the impression that it was a requirement for them to provide adequate hand cleaning facilities and from what I have seen this has not been happening.

As a first timer I was a tad surprised to see they didn't fill up the sanitiser. It seems indicative of the attitude of the organisers, you should just be grateful just to be allowed here, your 230 quid for a ticket isn't going to stretch as far as providing basic facilities.

There s only been a couple of times I have found that the hand sanitiser has run out - both times at Pennards campsite - otherwise always found some there. Think toilets have been really well maintained this year actually.

The compost loos are SO much better than the tardis ones. Couldn't believe how clean and smell free they were. Didn't notice a lack of sanitiser as I always carry wet wipes.

There's a VIP campsite where that's included as part of the service.

The Water Aid volunteers have done an amazing job - loos are much cleaner and better maintained than before.

I would never presume that s festival toilet would be provided with any 'accompaniments' so bring my own sanitiser etc.

It's advisable to take your own. They only started supplying hand sanitiser about 5 or 6 years ago. Before that there was occasionally soap at the sinks but that was usually all gone by day 2! I always take my own hand sanitiser, wet wipes etc. With the volume of people using the sinks they would need to be topping up sanitiser every hour to keep it going. I would rather them use the resource to clean the toilets out personally. There are also rumours people drink the hand sanitiser - you'd have to be pretty desperate though!

I'm at home and I actually have a nasty stomach virus (as opposed to something caused by bacteria) so it may be that this has nothing to do with hygiene (e.coli)?

Saw loads being refilled also we take our own, festival must have in my opinion.

Yep, all three of us had it to varying degrees. Only lasted 24 - 36 hours ish though.

None of the portaloos in E16 had sanitiser or were emptied at any point, not a good recipe for healthy festival goers, I take my own sanitiser but most don't.

We were both hit with vomiting too. We stayed off site at the Bristol and West due to the camper van field being shut. We used hand sanitiser, we just got unlucky !

Also my experience. More or less immaculate every single time.

Maybe fewer hoverers this year as people were seizing the opportunity to get a seat for a couple of minutes.

Only found no hand sanitiser twice the whole weekend.  Not an issue though as I always carry my own bottle just in case.

The toilets this year were the cleanest i've ever seen them. Also, bar one occasion, every time i was at the loos there was hand sanitiser and soap by the sinks.

Thought the toilets were great this year compared to previous years. Loads more people cleaning them — I barely had to reject a cubicle all weekend!

Agree that sanitiser and soap were a bit lacking, but it's been that way forever. I always carry my own at festivals and I'll almost always properly wash my hands, as long as it doesn't mean queueing for more than a minute or two.

Other Stage/Oxlyers toilets pretty much never had any sanitiser! (Had my own, of course.)

Also, I swear the queues there were far worse than last year...

Only once over the whole weekend could I not find any hand sanitiser but I always have some on me anyway. I thought they did a pretty good job of trying to keep them stocked.
