I don't think spurs and Liverpool have enough buffer to say that. It looks like a 5 way battle for 2nd to 4th to me.

True. Utd are in the mix for the CL places. Always have been tbh. I think the "titlerace" is well over however.

Not quite yet. Chelseas next 3 - Hull, Liverpool and Arsenal.

They'll destroy Hull obviously but theres 2 big big games to follow.

LFC's form has been grim for over a month chief. Seriously under-strength side for a "supposed" top club.

Is that the owners? Squad is very thin. Throw in a Champions League run next season too and there has to be signings in the summer surely? A few.

Klopp has a track record of signing very young players / prioritizing development, but missing Coutinho/Mane/Henderson/Matip/Sturridge requires action.

I don't know if the owners are all that anxious to win anything tbh. We sell our best players.

Well done Sutton. Might finally get on TV now.

Edit: And Lincoln City. Absolutely dominated a championship side.

Yes Sutton are on the box, TV games were pretty much decided last week.

With palace winning it means Utd are on again...

How does that work? I see it was a choice between Palace/Bolton vs City and United vs Wigan. Does that mean they wanted Bolton/City more than United/Wigan?

Seems like they were always going to pick United either way to me.

Again would much rather see Lincoln vs Brighton.

Correct if Bolton won they would have been chosen v city.

Palace City would have had more chance of an upset and probably a better match.

Thought it was a bizarre decision releasing which matches would be on in an "either/or" format. Basically told Palace they didn't want them on the box!

I'm just glad united are on the Sunday as I can go to the game.

I agree it's pretty strange, I suppose Utd having to play the Sunday due to the efl semi final being the Thursday helped in that scenario.

Just out of interest, how many of those were on the beeb and how many on other broadcasters?

I suspect that a significant number were on Sky, to keep their subscribers happy.

No idea. But the Telegraph have the best article on it I've read.

I certainly don't remember a disproportionate amount of Man Utd on the Beeb in the FA Cup. Could be wrong though.

Sky havent had the cup for years now. Since the Beeb have had the cup back they've shown United every time I believe.

then BT have it now?

There's defo someone else with live broadcast rights. Not giving c**ty-chops Murdoch or anyone else my money for footie, i'm not up on the details.

The point is the big footie subscriptions are taken out by people to mainly watch the big clubs, of which utd have the biggest fan-base ... so it's always Utd that gets featured for the FA Cup (with the subscription services wanting them far more than the beeb does, because of that commercial angle).
