Collecting someone from East Camper van field on Tuesday evening

Hi,

My partner will be driving a camper van down on Tuesday evening from Bristol and I will be be collecting him in a car after the van is parked and set up. Will there be a collection point somewhere nearby or can I drive my car into the campervan field with the van? The car won't be staying there - the intention is for him to drive the car back and I'll stay on in the campervan field as he can't get the Tuesday or Wednesday off work! Overly complicated but hoping there is an easy(ish) solution!

Have a chat with funkyfairy on a similar situation. The entrance is one way, so you won't be able to go on and out the same way.

Surely it would be easier for you to drive the campervan in on Tuesday???

I can't drive the van because it's huge and I have no experience of driving vehicles that size.

Have a practise you will probably be surprised at how quickly you pick it up.

Try out of the way car parks, quiet roads and that sort of thing. Honestly, give it a try!

I agree with bekimo, try driving the van beforehand. You don't have to do any reversing or 3 point turns really, and the traffic flow is one way, and no-one's annoyed behind you because we're all off to the same place. I find driving our 7m van easier than the car. Go for it! :-)
