Cost of taxi from festival site to Bristol airport and back

Hi guys,  I have a question to which I know the answer will be in the forum somewhere but I unfortunately don't have the time to go searching so apologies. 

I may need to leave the festival on the Friday morning for a meeting in Dublin. But will return that evening.  So I am wondering does anyone know approx how much it would cost to get a taxi from the festival Park and ride to Bristol Airport?

It goes up every year and will depend on the company you use, but last year it cost us £60 each way.

That was to / from Bath & West Showground.

It can vary. Last year we paid £80 for 6 of us one way. Maybe you can strike a deal with them as you would be booking the return journey too. Make sure to agree a price first!

Every year we do it as a return journey with the same company and, aye, they usually quote you a fixed fee beforehand.  I suspect there's little chance of doing it on the meter.

Would take longer and require a few changes but there is a scheduled bus service from Glastonbury town and Wells to Bristol and then connecting bus to the airport

Shuttle buses from the site go to both Wells and Glastonbury

We've booked a taxi with ABC taxis in Glastonbury for £60 from Bristol to the festival, including a beer stop, and £50 back. So maybe give them a shout. Seemed the most reasonable price overall.

Ohh wow 60 - 80 pricy!! Hopefully I can pass the cost along. I wouldn't have an issue with getting a bus etc, however I'm not at all happy I may have to leave the festival in the middle of it, so the less time spent away the better.

If you are considering the shuttle buses the timetables are now up on the info section of the main Glastonbury Festival website

Not for Glastonbury but I have used this site to get quotes for airport taxis before, one I got last time was £30.00 cheaper than others and service was great. https://www.minicabit.com/

It would definitely be worth checking with any taxi company if they will be able to pick up and drop off at the on site taxi rank.  The council recommended, after last year, that only taxied licenced in mendip district be alowed to use the official rank and all others would have to pick up and drop off at the Bath & West show ground, I'm not sure if this has been implemented or not so worthwhile checking.

I didn't even realise there was an on site taxi rank. It would definitely be a better option alright. I'll have a look at the website and possibly email the festival office to see can they advise. Thanks for that.

There's no info about the taxi rank online anymore, I think this has been done deliberately so that only local firms will know about it. It's out of gate A near the temporary pedestrian crossing on the main road.

I work for a taxi company that could do this job for you if you are interested I'm guessing £40-£45 each way

Four quid bus to Wells and then I think a taxi to the airport is about 30 quid.  Not a direct journey I know but if you've to get a shuttle bus to Bath and West for a site taxi anyway it might be worth a look.
