I appreciate I am pretty late to the party where these are concerned. They are an act I'd heard of, but never took any attention to. Since the Glade line up I decided to give them a whirl and Im loving them.

Rapidly ascending my "to see" list. Anyone else interested in seeing them?

What kind of time do people think they'll play?

my son has had them play as well ...if they dont clash im there

I think they used to be quite a fixture at the festival in the 80s and 90s didn't they?

My sis had a friend who came a few times primarily to see them.

Had a real obsession with them when I discovered them around 16 years ago when The Hidden Step came out. I delved head first into their back catalogue at that point and enjoyed a lot of it but sad to say that I haven't really investigated anything they have done since about 2003 when they dropped off my radar. I'm definitely going to be making the effort to see them this year, clashes permitting.

The theme to many of my youthful psychedelic experiences... It'd be rude not to check them out for old times sake!

Exactly who I thought of when I saw this. Caught the end of Gong in 09. Chaos.

Kavus Torabi....  he of Knifeworld and Cardiacs (amongst others) and DJing partner of a certain Mr Steve Davis.

Clashes depending I'll no doubt wander along for old times sake, but to these ears the 'classic' albums like Erpland, Jurassic Shift, etc. have a dated in a way that the likes of, say, Radio Gnome Invisible haven't.

hehehe, I had Jurassic Shift on a cassette way back when. Used to listen to it after coming home from doing nightshifts at the casino. I daredn't listen to these days, I'd imagine it's abysmal, given many of my other purchases from that same era (Back to the Planet, RDF etc etc). I my defence, I was young and out of control. Needed a bloody good hair cut and a kick up the arse.

I'd guess 21:00, the Eatstatic slot.

Eatstatic were both members of the Ozrics back in the day, so there is a logic to that!

Merv Pepler: "There we were in Ozrics doing all this technically impressive, weird music with mad timings, and getting really involved with it, and this experiment that became Eat Static was a good excuse to ignore all that, get the synths out, and be as stupid as we could!"

What sort of "set" do the Ozrics play these days? I really liked the early albums (Pungent Effulgent, Erpland, Jurassic Shift...) but I've not heard anything recent. Do I need to research? Are they now performing traditional folk, heavy metal or freeform jazz!
