Merch Booth

Just wanted to know where the main festival/band merchandise stands are located. Also, I know there have been Stanley Donwood festival prints sold online after the festival, but have any ever been available onsite?

Thanks!

(For the record, I'm coming over from Los Angeles, so I'm used to festivals slapping a logo and price tag on anything and everything.)

Main ones are to the side of pyramid stage, other stage and next to info point at William's green. Usually just t-shirts/hoodies. The Glastonbury free press sell headline prints. Otherwise it's not that commercialised really with logo's. Can't think of anything other than Water aid bottles and free Guardian bags! Not that I've seen.

Sedra has given good info about where they are,  pretty sure they'll be on one of the maps shared on here too.

If you haven't seen it you can get a small clue of what they sold last year here http://shop.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk

sorry it takes a bit of time to explain this but your link reminded me about ' WBC Crew t-shirts '

it is very common to be asked at the Bar By Customers to sell a Crew t-shirt although due to the Security issue staff would never sell them { WBC Security should also check a photo ID pass but just in case }

These t-shirt's used to be supplied by the Lager Company and were mainly low quality except for the ones supplied by Budweiser {2002,3,4,5} - now I would not have a clue what a average t-shirt would cost in say 2002 but lets say £5 - Budweiser shirts { they were more what I would call a Polo  shirt } had to have cost a good £75 as they were high quality - I was really surprised at the high quality.

anyway Billy Bragg approached the GMB and asked if they would be able to source non-sweated t-shirts and merchandise for his tour. GMB, together with Battersea & Wandsworth Trades Council, used their union connections to seek out workplaces in the UK and abroad that meet international conventions on workers rights to supply Billy's shirts and they set up  'Ethical Threads'

You may not have heard the name before but ' Battersea & Wandsworth Trades Council ' were the ones who set up the WBC 30 years ago. Someone high up in the WBC had a think and thought they could improve the system - rather than accepting the cheap foreign sweatshop t-shirt's ' they could switch things around and that is why all the bar staff t-shirt's are now supplied by 'Ethical Threads'

Its built into the Beer Contracts - just one small step in the right direction.

I always try to buy the ' Glasto cards ' that are a good reminder  of each year.

although I do have some missing years as I am not as mobile as I used to be .

Is there anywhere I'd be able to get this years Stanley Donwood artwork as a high quality picture (the one with the Pyramid that Glastonbury have got as their cover photo on Twitter), I want to get it put on a canvas but I can't find a good enough quality picture.

Anyone know how much the hoodies usually are and if they sell quick? Wanted one from TITP last year but they sold out by the Sunday!

Don't know about adult prices but in the Glasto shop a kids hoodie is £20

Some of the stages also do their own merchandise - Park area has t-shirts and hoodies and bags, and Leftfield too

There is also a stall normally between Avalon and West Holts that sells cartoon style landscape prints of the festival. Have one from each festival I've been too and they make nice reminders of the festivals

The Glastonbury Free Press can usually be found on the corner location where the Circus Tent track and the Cabaret Tent track intersect.

Not sure when the go to print, I think it is on Wednesday or Thursday though...

Thank you very much

if you want to buy any kids ones as presents for little ones at home get them in the first couple of days, we always remember on sunday and there are never any left!  seems to be lots of adult ones still available though x

Yes very good point as I remember arriving on a Thursday one year and struggling to get ones in the right size for my 2 as presents- ended up going round all 3 stalls I think to get them.

I'll be on site before the gates open this year so shall make sure I get them early!
