Register twice???

Hope someone might know the answer or have suggestions for the following question.  A friend of mine has Sunday tickets BUT would like weekend ones from resale (if one).  As you have to use registration numbers for Sunday tickets he can't reuse them. He doesn't want to cancel Sunday ones as he is worried he will end up with none at all.  Can he really register at a friends house therefore getting new numbers and trying for weekend ones??
