 The cash machines on site use a system called PakNet. Its a radio frequency not a mobile phone connection. It's an ancient system but perfect for rural payment solutions!

Aye, I think worldpay and the like are mobile, rather than radio.

Tbh, it might not of needed a signal.

If your card has a shiny silver logo in bottom right corner on back with a number ins like "50" it means its authorised to pay offline unto that value, usually accounts with overdrafts and good credit scores that get the features! Not basic bank accounts.
