Travelling from Glasgow through the night and gets us in about 8am wed morning.

someone said seetickets coach takes you close to the gate, will national express be the same?

All the coaches drop you off fairly close to the gates. 2016v1.png

Yes all the coaches drop off at Gate A so only 200 meters or so from the bus to the gate

Just be aware that you will be arriving at peak time so may take 45-60 minutes to get through the gate.

You can pitch your tent pretty close to Gate A but be aware that is some way from the main stages, if you want to camp near the pyramid or other stages or even near the park it's a further walk of maybe 30 minutes to those camping areas

that's great thank you!

yeah we want to camp at the other stage so prob be a huge trek but we'll be packing pretty light and hopefully pass a few bars to help us on our way lol.

normally drive down and bring loads of stuff but since we're getting the bus we're planning on buying sleeping bags and air beds from the happy camper shop in there.

Just to double check.......we can buy stuff like that there can't we?

Remember that you're going to be staying for the best part of a week so it's worth a trek to actually camp in a decent spot.  I always used to try to camp as close as I could to where I was likely to be at the end of the night, to avoid a long trek home when tired and emotional.

In the same way, bother to get your tent really sorted before you go off exploring.  You don't want to get back in the dark and then have to try re-pitching it.

Also make sure you can find it.  When you get back the tent that you left on its own will probably be surrounded by a hundred others all the same colour and shape.

Best way is to remember where it was is relative to footpaths and unchanging landmarks like pylons, signs or toilets and not relative to other tents.

Might struggle to get a bar open at that time on the Wednesday but I may be wrong, just take a Glasgow picnic ;-)

that's why we're waiting until we get there before we get sleeping bags and stuff....more room for the booze haha xx

thanks just had a look at their website, that's perfect, I'm going to be doing a good bit of online shopping soon :)

Remember that everything you buy from Cosy Camper becomes your property and it's therefore your responsibility to take it home afterwards. Leave no trace.
