First Glastonbury in 10 years!

I used to be a bit of a regular at Glasto, but then things like kids and mortgages happened, I moved out of the country for a while, and all if a sudden, I realised I hadn't been in 10 years! Persuaded a couple if friends to do Glastonbury 2016 and managed to get tickets when they went on sale in October. 

So.... What's changed? What new things can I expect?

Not alot really. a few food stalls have moved around and that is about it really

The cinema field has gone, although it looks like John Peel tent might be moved where it was this year.

The Park area has appeared too.

i loved lost vangueness,

 

but shangri la is good fun. not quite the same , but different in many ways and slightly better at night when it comes alive

I was last there in 2003 and I am finally returning this year. I've managed to do one festival a year since 2003 and have had some fantastic times, but you do find yourself comparing them to Glasto and nothing ever compares!

I'm of the opinion it is even bigger and better and cannot wait!!!

The Park is new since you last went.. Been described as a festival within a festival. . If you see pictures of the ribbon tower that's where the Park is

It's much bigger. Where you used to park your car (West side) is now camping for an extra 1/2 a mile or so. So much of what used to be outside the fence on the west is now firmly part of the festival.

Hopefully the weather will be a tad better than it was in 2005...........

The Garlic Kitchen is no more  but there is the amazing Rotisserie Chicken stall at William's Green now  

Beer is MUCH more expensive  

The Park exists  and thus so does the Bimble Inn

But inevitably the candle powered steamboats stall is where it always was

Many, many changes since then, first one being you are now allowed in to car parks the night before and people queue all night  so  huge % of festival goers are in the site by mid day on Wednesday.

There is a food stand inbetween JP and the pyramid that is called the garlic farm !! It has great food as well

I cant compare with the garlic kitchen tho , never heard of it
