they didn't do a tour after the gig in 07 in London so it's never going to happen. Plant isn't interested apparently. 

 

Wouldnt have much interest in this to be honest, most are way way past their prime and tickets will insanely expensive.

Yeah seeing the Stones as part of a wide ranging festival - amazing. Seeing these bands all together would be like eating lots and lots of one type of cake. Great in small doses but would just be too much nostalgia in one go.

I'd buy a ticket and I'd watch it all. I don't think the event is really necessary though.

Tickets will be about a grand I bet, or more. Imagine going to a festival populated solely by people who can afford to throw that much money around. It will have the worst atmosphere of any festival in history.

I like a big heritage act at Glastonbury, just as much as I like the new acts, current acts, tired acts etc etc

But a whole weekend of it, like a deluxe Butlins 60's weekender? No thanks.

Can you imagine the crowd demographics? Fat, middle aged, baby boomers wearing Hawaiian shirts, sipping bud light in the drinking area and reminiscing about the good old days.  Awful.

I would go and enjoy it given the chance.

Everyone's raving as they are on the same bill but Glastonbury have had all of them play before. Of those 6 I have seen Stones/Young/Waters & The Who at Glastonbury. Macca also played while I was there but I had no interest in seeing him.

I'll be interested to see what price the tickets are. If they are pushing £300+ then this "festival" will be the embodyment of everything that is wrong with the music industry. A load of rich old dudes clinging to their spot at the top, playing for a load of rich old dudes whilst all the "regular" folk watch it at home on youtube and read twitter updates from Jay-Z, Noel Gallagher, Jim Carrey and all the other celebrities who are there, not paying for their ticket.

Some of those rich old dudes have been touring on stop for years and are still putting out more material than any of the current crop. Dylans last album was number 1 in the UK for example. Neilers new album will be his 10th in 10 years. Maccas last album was a belter etc.

When the dusts settles and these period of "imperious" headliners ceases for good/theyre not around any more, only three performances will genuinely count.
