Kids at DL

I normally see quite a few families at DL. Has anyone out there been one of them? Just wondering how practical it is and, crucially, how old were they when you took them.

It's something I'd want to do, start 'em young and all that. At the minute they're 6, so not sure if too young or not (tickets are from 5 upwards).

I'd say 6 is a bit young for DL personally. I took my daughter when she was 10, and it was fairly easy, although we only went for one day (without camping). The hardest thing was letting her go to the toilet without supervision (the layout wasn't the best, I had to let her out of my sight whilst she queued). But its a long hard day, with LOADS of walking. My kids would have been moaning like hell at 6 years of age.
