My first Glasto I, paid £6 for a Toad in the Hole from a place by the Other stage (hadn't found all the amazing places yet). Halfway through I nearly choked to death on a one pound coin.  Normally I am not squeamish about such things, but given that the food was pretty gross I took it back.

The lad handed me back a five pound note. "But it was £6", I said.

"You already have the extra quid".

Ha ha, now that's customer service :)

Hi.  Not real food but there was a place doing great fresh fruit smoothies last year (Silver Hayes I think but I'm sure there were others).  And I also found a stall doing wonderful milkshakes (Shaken Udder ??) - not so nutritious but I had one last year and it really perked me up. xx

Smoothies at William's Green too - Bloomberry possibly, from Columpton.

Link didn't work for me :(

I think I must have to upgrade or something. don't know why it won't open. This might drive everybody mental but I have cit and pasted here: similar to the previous post a couple of pages back but a lot bigger! (hope nobody is too angry and length of this post)

This list has been compiled through the efestivals food vendors thread, it is a rough draft. Please post any updates or things that are wrong. They tend to be ones that are recommended.  I have put a C next to those that have been confirmed by people on the thread. The other vendors mentioned were there last year, so they are merely rumours. If I have got anything wrong please put a note on the thread as I will update this the Saturday before festival, by looking at the thread again.

Venues are also based on where they were last year, so could have changed!

I gather Pieminster won't doing Glasto this year but is there anywhere else that does mashed potato?

I've just had some major work done on my teeth and can only really eat mushy stuff and soup for the next couple of months. It's a bloody nightmare, especially when you're all talking about food I would love to try.

Square Pie do mash too, although their pies aren't as good as pieminister.  Found the steak pie more gravy than steak

Thanks for that - although I've looked at their website and their mash is 'skin-on' mash. Still, I'm sure I won't starve!

Thanks for all the suggestions, people.

Great work! Takes a proper glasto-nut to compile something like this! :D

just one thing I thought I'd mention. Unless there's more than one, and I've missed it, the Hare Krishna tent wasn't in Greenfields. It was on the walkway from West Holts to Leftfield. On the left, I believe, if you're heading towards Leftfield.

Another couple that come to mind are the great paellaria (sp?) near williams green and Tor Valley Fajita round the corner from the cider bus do a great chili and rice with cheese on top, both highly recommended!

The Hippy Chippy have confirmed they'll be back in their usual spot in the market, intriguingly they also said they'll have a "street food version" in the green fields...

Which market? The one between the Pyramid Stage/Bandstand?

The Peckish Peacock have confirmed on twitter they will be there between West Holts and Circus this year - had a beautiful veggie curry from there last year which held spiritual qualities and sobered me up just enough to enjoy the opening ceremony.

Does anyone know the name of the little food van that sold chips on Williams Green last year? It was next to (maybe right next door) Happy Maki, I want to say that they have a shop in Bristol but I could well be making that up. It's driving me mad trying to remember the name :( best cheesy chips I've ever had
