European Referendum

I'm curious to know whether there would be anywhere to watch this at Glastonbury?

It seems there is a very real possibility that the vote will take place on Thursday 23rd June.

Will provisions be made for people to see some form of coverage considering the festivals links to politics?

watching votes being counted is a bit like watching the grass grow.

You could always use your phone to check a news website, if you need a minute by minute commentary on how the count is going.

It is of significant importance to us in Scotland. It may finally put the 2014 referendum to bed. As someone who is usually at the counts I find it quite an exciting evening.

Exciting!?!?! Bloody hell. I'm a huge football fan and every two years have that quandary of missing some tournament games cos I'm at Glastonbury - I just have to get over it and prioritise, basically. If watching votes being announced is truly your passion - and I'm not slagging it off, it's not for me - then maybe you should think again about your Glastonbury ticket. Prioritise accordingly. Stay at home and watch it all and then maybe come to glasto on the Friday?

A general election is OK on the TV as there is lots going on in over 600 constituencies.

The EU referendum is just one count - just how long can you sit and talk (after months of talking) about the outcome of one count?

Personally I would rather watch the testcard (showing my age there) as more is likely to happen!

Right into football myself but again, being Scottish, we don't have that quandary very often. I'll be out my box regardless, but in a weird way I think I would enjoy watching that with big eyes.

That's a good point actually but the referendum in Scotland was exciting and that was only 32 areas.

Watch it on TV... maybe not. But I know the past election and indyref various left-wing commentators and comics put on results 'shows' in London and elsewhere - essentially picking apart the results (and the coverage) as they came in, in a somewhat entertaining fashion. Wouldn't be entirely surprised if the Leftfield put on something similar, license permitting.

The 3G/4G signal at the festival is good enough to keep you updated via the live minute-by-minute newsfeeds on BBC Online / your newspaper of choice. There's usually Wifi in the area in and around the EE Chill and Charge tent as well if you desperately need it.

You could take a small radio as well.

For anyone who's really interested in getting live coverage, you'd probably be more familiar with the term "wireless"

I'm very interested in electoral results and politics in general.

I'm 100% DAB. No valves required... :)
