Had hoped we may see you and Mrs Rendrags at The Pound; there'll be something else before long which appeals all round, I'm sure  Are you set for Charlton Park - lots of  family and friends going too?

The forum was all backwards but the WOMAD IT Pixie got us back to normal until the GREAT ISOLATION of 2013/14 luckily we're all back together (apart from the weekend break in June 15 and the forum holiday at WOMAD Fuerteventura in November 2015) We moved to a shiny new forum on the 04/02/16 and the orginal countdown thread had reached 21540 reply's and 2154 pages!

Del illuminated Womad 2014..and started a trend.. SS hubby joined in with lit up Mad Hatter look!! and how they both sparkled in 2015, Jax lip got zipped and her daughters wellies chafed (ouch), Hootdrummer forgot his tent (oops), SC left his tiger at home, Standing Stone looked great on a t shirt, Digital Monkey lost his Chai cherry, Purpledawn enjoyed fresh ground coffee in her fab festival cafetiere, Baz's tankard went to the bar and never came back but hopefully it will be found, DorsetSteve learned Moog should be pronounced Moag, Jambo Yoti climbed a ladder to help with a half prie sale, DorsetHelen started with a cheese toastie (yum) but forgot to have a cider, Bassworm dad danced all weekend, LG_ went for Cranberry and soda, Hubby got all horny with one of Munks of Tashi Lhunpo's long horns, Rendrags walk across the fields to have a great time in the foul weather and mud, The Smurf put up his tent in the driving rain, Sindig0 Met up with loads of the forum crew then mainly kept dry in his tent :o( Bloohair had Kedgery and slept all the way home and we all got muddy in 2015 but will there be mud in 2016?

Good news first, tonight I attend the initial meeting planning the 2017 bike trip. To the top of Norway! Right into the Arctic Circle 3 weeks of Heaven and Hell  

Bad News - I think I may need to upgrade the bike, not sure that chain drive will be reliable enough. 

Badder News - provisional dates for the trip have WOMAD slap bang in the middle.....  Might be 2 years on the trot for a SC no show at WOMAD

He only broke his leg!  A very good friend of mine broke his Speedway racing last summer, he has no intention of stopping and sadly I personally knew 2 who lost their lives to bikes during my lifetime.  But, you cannot spend your life in fear, this life has to be lived  But you should try to learn from those that go before you   and reduce the risks as much as you can  I am sure I will not do it forever, at some point I'll feel that's enough, and or be more attracted to something else.   I suspect that maybe getting a pilots licence.

Ooh, new gadget--awesome. They make me use a Mac for work but I'm a PC everywhere else. I doubt you'll have too many problems making the switch.

I'm off to see if my new phone's been delivered. Tonight will either be a productive one working on the house or... less than productive playing with new toy.

S.C., Norway Expedition sounds fab - enjoy all the planning and everything.......... and the new bike ........... its gonna happen, isn't it!      If you can't get the Expedition shifted in time, then we'll just have to wave another year to you through Webby! It would be fab if Mrs S.C. could still make it to Womad - (bring the girls!)... and wave too?   Hope the Mackerel easily does everything you want it to .... enjoy your new toy .................. you too, Sindig0!  

Rendrags, hope you are safely home again and are comfy. I would think Mrs Rendrags can come up with lots of amusements for you both over the next 6 weeks. For example, six weeks is an Ideal time for a full body felt pen tattoo; relaxing, creative and fun for both of you..... maybe....     anyway, whatever you do, please share here! I remember Del was laid flat for a long period recovering from a back injury ...perhaps he can pass on some tips to you....

Del slipped a disk in his back in around 15 years ago it took 6 months to get an MRI scan (the only thing the NHS in Scotland could do for him but he slowly rebuilt his back with walking, swimming, tai chi and visits to a good osteopath

he still has to be careful and exercise his back to keep it in good shape and luckily loon dancing is good for his back
