Hello everyone,

We're flying to Germany in June for Rock im Park for the first time and are wandering how people have taken camping gear on flights in the past, I've read some stuff about people just strapping them to their backpacks and then checking that in?

We are also wandering what the rules are about bringing our own alcohol in if we find a supermarket nearby? And finally, just any advice, tips, information anyone might have about the festival!

you could also pre-book a tent and pick it up on the site from this website: http://www.helgaa-festival.de/ (they havent updated for Rock im Park for 2016 but i have used it the last 3 years)

As for alcohol, you can bring in as much as you want to the campsite as long as it is not in glass bottles.

To bring alcohol to the stages, it must be in a carton that is a maximum of 1 litre.

Is it the same for water too? And are there a lot of taps there?

Also, how far is the camp from stages and how long it takes to go from one stage to another?

Sorry

yep you can only bring 1 litre of water in a carton!

from camp to stages can take anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes depending on where you camp and the amount of people getting searched at security. The camp site is so stretched out

It takes about 5 minutes to move around all 3 stages depending on the amount of people around.
