Michaels denim shorts
Would love this to happen, but does sadly look unlikely with those dates

I just felt it was as perfect time as any to drop a south park reference...
Yokel Again
His 2005 set was bloody brill. Bad flooding, then Brian Wilson made the sun come out on the hill on Sunday. Some guy crowd surfing on a surf board. Fan-bloody-tastic. I would worry that 11 years later it couldn't be matched at Glastonbury (he was quite er, frail even in 2005). Acoustic tent at the same time as Adele would be ace!
dondo
Yes, I was working near the pyramid stage in 2005 when he played so whilst I didn't see him I could hear it all and it sounded brilliant. Am quite tempted to get tickets for the tour but at £61 it is quite pricey

CaledonianGonzo
Nah. I'm sitting directly behind him. It's a better seat as I can play his head like a bongo during Help Me Rhonda.

Homer
Anyone want to buddy up and get two 2-4-1 tickets? All my friends have already bought theirs (at full price)!
Amy Lawn
Goddamn it Brighton, either stop getting good gigs or move closer.

Homer
If anyone wants a half price ticket for Brian Wilson doing Pet Sounds plus hits in Brighton next Saturday, plus a load of other bands, give me a shout. I bought two in the 2-4-1 flash sale above but don't need the spare. So the ticket is £30 instead of £60. I am a nice/honest person, which I can prove via my eBay feedback rating if required! http://www.togetherthepeople.co.uk/line-up/type/saturday/

Homer
Very good thanks. The festival itself was no great shakes - sparsely attended, bit rainy, but Turin Brakes were surprisingly great – but it was v easy to get close for Brian Wilson. Did I am sure the same set you saw. About six surfer, etc hits up front – whole of Pet Sounds (I actually prefer the cheesey early stuff!) – then finished off with another six or so – Help Me Rhonda, I Get Around, Barbara Anne, etc. His voice was shakey at times and he at least twice referred to a song about to be song by ‘Phil Jardine’ (bit awkward!), but I loved it. Was quite drunk and had this feeling that he was the final link to an era when the folks would gather around the piano and harmonise, and this was my last chance to see it. Emotional stuff (think it’s the harmonies!). All in all, not as good as Glasto 2005, but better than when I saw him at Bestival. How was it for you?
