Does anyone know if you volunteer and work for a ticket and details of how to go about signing up and applying ????

There are various companies that work there such as Green Stewards and Festival Volunteer - depends what you want to do but you can generally just go to the respective website, register, and then pay a deposit.

It is if you want it to be. I'm pretty sure the organizers prioritize the overall enjoyment and hedonistic fun over the music but that doesn't mean there isn't good music there.

It does seem a lot more about stumbling into bands that actually planning around seeing them. That said, I'll be making sure to see Caribou.

The main age group last year was around the mid 20's. I dont remember seeing lots of people aged 40 and over but I definitely did see some

I was approaching 50 when I went, and my mate may have been 50 (not sure). We had a great time and didn't at all feel like we were peodophiles. Does this help? If you want to get a stack of booze past their very rigorous searches then PM me and I'll tell you how I did it. Better still, just go to Shambala where age doesn't matter and you'll have the time of your life, and you can carry in your own body weight in alcohol.

Cheers guys am looking at a new festival as well The Big Kahuna festival near gatwick for august bank holiday. Sounds like an ex 90's ravers sort of thing so shall give it a go. Maybe sgp nxt year as that will 3 for 2016. May as well die partying or at least try. So cant wait for festival season.

First time for us, gave glastonbury a swerve this year and decided to do this instead as heard good things. Hoping this predicted heatwave shows up in time as that lake looks like a shit load of fun when fucked up.

This will be my third time to SGP. It's a really fun relaxed festival vibe, with enough music to keep you going.

Head into the woods later on in the evening, it's great fun!

Really looking forward to it now, having pined for Glastonbury in June.

Same here, even looking at the mud I was fully missing Glastonbury. Not that I'm tempting fate but weathers looking pretty decent for next week.

Out of interest how strict are they searching for booze going onto the campsites? Were in a camper so plenty of places to erm, hide stuff, but dont want to spend a shit load of money on wine and vodka to get it taken away.

Pretty sure they dont. You get a book when you go in with a guide of whats on. Some of the dj stages dont have set times at all though, just a list of people that are on that day.
