Located in the heart of Wales (LD1 6HH) in the fabulous grounds of Doldowlod, Landed is a grassroots family friendly festival of music, arts & crafts, that takes place over the Beltane weekend, 29th April - 1st May.

Now with 5 stages:

A new bigger main / bar stage combo (so the music never stops), a spoken word stage, and new this year a busking stage, and a new dance area called The Spinney.

This years music is still being worked out, but previous acts include Eat Static, Electric Swing Circus, Slambouree, Land of the Giants, BombSkare etc.

Expect lots of live music, random entertainments, and the annual 'Pimp your Duck' race on the river Wye.

Lots more info coming soon.

Pleasure. :)

Although Landed has been running for 5 yrs, Beltane, or Calan Mai (Welsh) is going to feature much more in the theme of the festival as we take it forward. The new landed logo done by Grubby features an upside down tree, like the one(s) found in ancient wood henges. There's documentaries about it online.

We're going to try & re-create one here on site.

It's all about bonfires, drinking, music, and spring celebrations.

Lots of announcements coming up, and a new website, which has been delayed slightly, with a computer dying on us, but should be up imminantly.

 Saturday is Freerotation night!

The winner of Residentadvisors ‘best festival’ award last year (http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?2026) Freerotation are dedicated to freeform, hardware driven analog dance music, that Oooses with analog lushness

The Freerotation festival, in Baskerville hall, sells out every year, and has a waiting list that extends years ahead. We're VERY lucky to have them.

Right! time for some line up details!

Do you get bored with downtime, during band changeovers? Us too.

Landed's Main & Bar stages are at opposite ends of the same structure, alternating bands between them, so there's non-stop music from start to finish.

1st up, we're delighted to welcome Billy Rowen (aka The Undercover Hippy) with full band.

Also, Regime

Back from previous years, a Landed favorite, Fjokra

We've loads of gypsie / ska this year, from:

Barbarellas Bang Bang

Mama Jerk and the Ladyfingers

Johnny Kowalski & the Sexy Weirdos

The Society of Strange Living

Turbo ska from The Vegetable Collective

The Chalk Outlines

From Bristol, and the 1st band I booked - The Filthy Spectacular !

Kilnaboy (on soundcloud)

Young up & coming local band from Merthyr - Upbeat Sneakers

Last year, Fasta Benj totally rocked at Landed. This year Doobs has a new band, Monsterometer

We've no idea what it sounds like, but no doubt it will be utterly brilliant!

They describe it as "a Trashabilly Mob! playing a right old jumble of 60's garage fuzz-a-billy psychedelic punk rock n roll silly billy noooo!"

Billy in the Lowground

The Sweetchunks Band

Funky doublebass action, from The Hedgegods

Well, the site is looking superb in the spring sunshine, and the first of the awesome crew are starting to arrive.

We move the sheep off the field in the next week, so we can start pegging things out, putting the festoon & flag poles up, and going around the trees for dead wood safety checks.

The workshops are being sorted out, new lighting effects being made, signs being re-furbed, posters are on the way, and the local area publicity mission is about to start.

There's a really good feeling here this year. We're entirely run by volunteers, and we've got some of the best festival crews in the country coming to help out.

I just want to take this opportunity to give a big shout out to all the un-seen creative people who make this sort of thing possible, working hard for weeks in exchange for food & beer!

We luv U all

Verbal Melodies

The Listen That spoken word, rap & music stage.

a lot of this and a fair bit of that too...

Back for their second year the Verbal Melodies crew bring top-quality spoken-word, hiphop, acoustic music, live bands, open mics and plenty of mega-jams.

Look forward to sets from The Binewski Murder, JamTidy, Felix Luke and the Midnight Zoo, Robbie Cornell and the Whiskey Six, high grade poetry from the Verbal Remedies massive, Alex Millar, Tom Walker, Lagan Legski and so many more.

Hello, Bora Da Landed!  Just seen the Instagram pic of the Goffannon Forge stag.  Stunning and Landed Festival is Lucky lucky to have a great new installation.

Just want to say, looking forward to bringing the Chameleon Marquee to make a chillout and cafe venue with music down in the Spinney.... there's the Dance Dome there, and the vibe is so cool.... come and see us, eat nice food, relax and listen to the tunage..... also, GET ON THE MEDIA AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO COME!  A fantastic start to a new season, in a mystical valley in the middle of the mountains, WITH A RIVER....
