The Coral announced as the first headliner for next year, headlining the Sunday (29th May). not too fussed myself but seems to have gone down a treat with the locals. hoping the other two headliners will be more to my liking. missed it this year (was maybe on the same weekend or not long after/before Primavera) but with the right lineup i'd be up for checking it out

Did well didn't it? I didn't go in the end because the ticket & hotel/hostel packages sold out (and the prices for other options of accommodation were sky-high) so I assumed it did pretty well.

I was reading this article the other day before it was announced (one of the writers even predicted a Coral reunion, it seems) and it mentioned that with it being two days they'll have a larger budget for booking acts. Then again, The Coral can't have been expensive.

I'll keep my eye on it this year and know to get in on accommodation early if it takes my fancy but I'd probably need a better headliner on the other day because while The Coral are good, I'm not that bothered and they're a very good bet for Glastonbury. Also the apparent price increase (pre-sale is £10 more than last year's presale) is a bit shit considering they've cut a day off of it.

Can't compare it to the other days because I didn't go to them but the Friday felt at least 70%/80% full. Certainly not empty enough to warrant sacking off. Maybe they had licensing probs.
