buttonmonster
hi - does anyone know if there is a difference between the tipi field, tipi park and tipi village is? they're shown as 3 different places on the 2015 map. thanks
incident
The "Tipi Field" is the collection of Tipis nearest Kings Meadow. It's basically for people who live in their own Tipis and bring them to the Festival. The field is open to the public to visit and has a stage in it (Ancient Futures) and a few other things of interest. The "Tipi Village" is next door, and is where all the "for hire" Tipis are located, the ones that go on sale in a couple of weeks. It's fenced off and I think access is only to people who've rented there. Details will be on the Festival web-site.The "Tipi Park" is behind The Park, and is one of the hospitality options - don't think the General Public can rent the Tipis there. russycarps
I think the tipi village is fully booked as all the people staying there complained last year because someone left one of the toilet seats up. Free tickets all round, can't upset the poshos
ceetee
In a few weeks? Isn't it in April when the ticket balance is paid? Smash1984
In a few weeks? Isn't it in April when the ticket balance is paid? They've changed it this year. Tipi's and cavaran tickets are being sold at the same time as Worthy View. Will go on sale at the end of the month. Most likely Mon 26th. (Been the last Mon in Oct for the previous 2 years)

Must have been an oversight as on the FAQ page: http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/2016-ticket-faq/ You'll see at the 3rd from bottom question they mention about the caravan tickets and tipis going on sale with WV. They will make an announcement in the next couple of weeks prior to the sale anyway so keep an eye out
Dannytc
So mixed up now then, so for the first time the Tipi's will be in the normal sales, rather after full ticket payment in April. I thought whole reason they were sold in April, was to make sure you'd paid your whole ticket first as they are on-site. Better get the money together quickly ! Badlands
How strict are they with the 6 per teepee rule? Would we get 6 adults and a couple of under 12s? Also, a little off topic, but what's that place in Pennards where someone put a tent up for you?? Opening our options a little next year. ceetee
How strict are they with the 6 per teepee rule? Would we get 6 adults and a couple of under 12s? Also, a little off topic, but what's that place in Pennards where someone put a tent up for you?? Opening our options a little next year. The Glastonbury Website says Non-Tipi residents will only be permitted access to the Tipi Village at the discretion of the Tipi Village stewards, when accompanied by Tipi residents, between noon and 2am. In order to allow a restful night, and peaceful start to the day, non-residents will not be permitted in the Tipi Village between 2am and noon. I can't see them going round every Tipi at 2am and kicking out people without the correct wristband. It's called Camplight, no availability at the moment as they did a pre sale for coach ticket holders, will be more on sale in the new year.
