Quiet & Friendly Camp Sites

Hi guys.

Ecstatic that I got tickets last night for myself and my boyfriend! :D so I'm already thinking about camp sites.

I've been once before and stayed in Oxlyers I think (the party field I believe its called?); I didn't find it pleasant at all - it was loud, the neighbors weren't nice and at one point someone even tried to have a poo outside the tent!!

So I'm after a nice calm, quiet and friendly camp site this year :) any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Kelly.

The closer you are to the fence, the quieter it will be generally.

I was by the stewards in south park 2 last year and it was really quiet, spacious and still quite close to the action. I'd recommend it, only problem was it was a long way from gate A if you are arriving by public transport.

Fair enough.

I usually camp in Bushy Ground and will camp there again next year. It's quiet, close to Ped A where the coach drops you off so you don't have to walk to far to set up camp :) it doesn't feel like it's too far away from the action and is lovely and quiet at night. Nice neighbours, toilets are OK there as well. I think Pylon Ground is a pretty similar one.

Any of the ones around the edge will be quieter as people generally want either a more central location or one of the noisier camp sites. It all depends on what stages / areas you prefer I guess.

Dairy was good this year. Pretty lively during the day but quiet at night. I think most people stay there for its proximity to Arcadia then the SE corner so were entertaining themselves elsewhere!

Stayed at Hitchin hill in 2014, was tough to sleep most nights as someone would have a tent based party and that was up at the fence.

Congrats! I stayed in Darble last year and it was pretty laid back and had no trouble with neighbors except for the occasional snorers but nothing can be done about that. Although it is quite far away from south east corner as other people have said, it's pretty close to silver Hayes and other stage.

That could have been me, although I did bring a big bag of earplugs to hand out to my neighbours. Were you anywhere near Camp Solo?

I was in Bushy about 2 minutes from gate D last year it was nice and quiet and the neighbours were friendly and the compost toilets were always clean, bit of a trek from most places though especially at 7am. Would highly recommend it if you don't mind the walk and only intend on using the tent for sleeping then heading out for the day.

Yeah, I was camping with the solo lot but on the outskirts cause I pitched my tent next to their camp by a happy mistake. It's alright though cause I got up and had a wonder every time it happened and when it went back to my tent it didn't seem that much of a problem.
