dan1892
Yep. I think The Subways had a similar record as well, just nowhere near as high up.

VCK
Enter Shikari are definitely the house band these days. Paramore aren't that far off. Two and a half subheadline slots in the space of five years.
thewayiam
I definitely expect these to be there, one would think if they aren't they probably won't be again. I'd have them as NME headliners but they do have a big following at R&L and will probably get a 3rd spot on main because of that. Not quite sure they could push sub now. Andre91
Don Broco just did their fifth R&L in a row, and I expect them back next year. They will be approaching Shikari levels of regularity soon enough
JSmurphy
Surely Frank Turner is up there, played in some capacity in 2007, 08, 09, 10, 11 (two different slots), 13 and 15.
justanothername
Surely Frank Turner is up there, played in some capacity in 2007, 08, 09, 10, 11 (two different slots), 13 and 15. VCK
Biffy Clyro back in the day as well, before they got too big to play every year. I also remember The Futureheads playing quite frequently.
willutalk
Didn't Lars consider Metallica a house band of R and L? (Probably didn't use the exact wording)
Muppetmark
Didn't Lars consider Metallica a house band of R and L? (Probably didn't use the exact wording) he did when saying they were the band that had headlined most often

Mouseboy11
He was also there with Million Dead in 2005 and Mongol Horde both in 2012 and 2014. Said at his set this year that he now has the record with (I think) 9 in a row.
benus80
Surely Frank Turner is up there, played in some capacity in 2007, 08, 09, 10, 11 (two different slots), 13 and 15. Frank said to the crowd this year that he has played reading festival nine times in a row! So he must be the reading festival houseband and every time I see him he is amazing! P.s bloc party are back and playing live, reading festival next year? Edited September 10, 2015 by benus80
Andre91
Bloc Party subbing next year would make my festival, regardless of whatever else gets announced. eFestivals
The title of this thread is a lie. I don't pay much attention to R/L, but Placebo have been at least as much of a house band as Bloc Party might be, and there's probably others too,
