Who are you wanting as headline acts ?

Just wondered what everyone's thoughts were on what to expect from the headline acts in 2016, i'm assuming after the success of this year they'll go for the 4 night main stage show but do you think they'll be of a similar caliber to this year or was this year a 1 off for the 10th anniversary ?

With the crowd size expected to go up roughly by another 5000 you'd expect the budget to be there for another decent card.

The Strypes would be very welcome on the line up...

Think lower than this year they got lucky!!!!

 

They do not have the stage or stage production for anything bigger than this years headliners !!!

 

For instance cant see the likes of the Chemical Bros falling for the 2 blokes at the side of the stage flashing their torches and letting off a couple of industrial party poppers !

 

Think lower thats all i can say!

 They've said on fb that they wont be increasing the capacity this year Ram, guess they know they need to improve some aspects before they go even bigger again.  I've registered but have a feeling that another festival line-up will sway me next year to maybe trying somewhere else - but who knows!  It'll be interesting so see who they do book though

they may reduce the size of the guest list but more tickets will be sold !

Put a comment on the facebook page yesterday about the capacity potentially going up to 35k in the next 2 year which someone from kendal replied to saying that they aint interested in it going up in capacity and that the capacity will be staying the same next year, I'll try send a link to it if i can work out how to do so.

Do people know roughly how much acts get for headlining a festival, does it depend on the size of the act?

Two door cinema club I reckon, similar to vaccines in that they need to be given a chance.

Courteeners - though the crowd they attract would not add to the festival (and that comes from a big fan!)

Yeah I agree with the Courteeners verdict, seen them live loads but would certainly attract the wrong crowd

Could maybes see kodaline back if they've got a 3rd album out by then and doing a thursday night headline slot as an up and coming band. They'll be playing arenas by then as they sold out everywhere on the last tour

I heard from someone who definitely knows, snoop dog cost in the region of £400k.

I could see madness and the manics being decent choices, maybes bastille will be back on the circuit by then as well.

I'd like to see Rage Against the machine, AC/DC, and prodigy. Far more likely is Manics (long overdue), one of the Gallaghers, and maybe, just maybe, the prodigy.
