Monkey Allen
Can't remember the exact year I last saw Rolf Harris at Glasto. All I remember was utter pandemonium. I was one of hundreds (maybe thousands?) who queued to get a one on one "hello" & a signature on my programme. The crowd he pulled was worthy of a Pyramid headliner. I apologise if there's been hundreds of threads about this, but bloody hell..... I STILL can't believe it's true. Controversial I know and I hope I don't offend by saying this. frostypaw
West Holts, was great, but we have to hate him now apparently despite it being OK for the Sun to leer over underage girls.*dons lead jacket*

He played the Pyramid one Sunday morning / noon kind of time if I recall correctly. He had the audience in the palm of his hand.

Yoghurt on a Stick
I was there for both performances West Holts '09 and Pyramid '10. Frightening stuff. Thanks for informing me of the Pyramid date as I'd simply have not known otherwise. What I do know is that I was stopped by the stewards so that his car could pass on the road I was trying to get across. As a result I saw him kind of in the flesh so to speak. That moment had added to what was a wonderful performance. It no longer does. Shame on him.
mr gumby
The whole group I was with wanted to see him in 2010 (my first glasto), except me and my wife, who wasn't too fussed. We went to see The Magic Numbers open the Other Stage. I will forever be grateful to them, for their inoffensive folk-pop, and for saving me from ever having to say that Rolf was the first act I ever saw at Glastonbury. I know what you mean, I always used to look back on those two performances fondly but now they just seem really messed up and weird because of the recent allegations. TheNewUnion
West Holts was frighteningly rammed when he played. Far too many people in that field.
Monkey Allen
Listen guys, I understand, accept (and I'm unbelievably saddened) by what's happened. I just saying I still find it hard to believe especially as he was so idolised by Glasto. Edited July 14, 2015 by Monkey Allen

Perks
I'm really cross, I bloody cried at both them sets. At the time is was immense. I even went to a fancy dress party as him a few months after the 2009 set! We were in a club in b'ham and I had a homemade didgeridoo and on leaving some dude came up to me and asked for the didgeridoo he said I just saw him at Glastonbury and he was amazing...I said I was there too, we hugged and I gave him the didgeridoo. He left so happy. This makes me shudder now! How did he fool us all.
mr gumby
This makes me shudder now! How did he fool us all. Don't feel bad, my friend. This seems to be a common trait with many sex offenders, the ability to present a completely different face the rest of the time.

If Rolfe then I haven't got a clue what's going on in your post. Please help me - for I am born and bred in Birmingham. My Irish father told me long ago that the 'Brummies would steal the eye out of your head if you weren't watching them at all times'. I can only put down your didgeridoo loss to this fact. matt2007
He first played the pyramid in 1993. Met him at the premier of the Julien Temple film andhe autographed my invite.....not worth much now I guess
phil the shrew
West Holts was frighteningly rammed when he played. Far too many people in that field. That's the worst crush I've been in at 6 Glastonbury's. Ended up pushed up into a new age stall about half way up the side of West Holts and people kept pouring in. Eventually the owner of the stall had to let us into the staff only area at the rear of the stall to ease the crush Like a couple of others have said I enjoyed the performance and there was some good sing a long moments in it. I might well have missed it but at the time I don't recall there being rumours about what he was really, not in the same way there were with other celebrities and pop stars

No, no one stole it..I went to a fancy dress party as Rolf, we ended up in Snobs, and at the end of the night some random dude asked me if he could have my didgeridoo as he had just been to Glastonbury and saw Rolf's set...I said I had been too, we hugged, and I gave him the didgeridoo, the dude got in his taxi so happy.. My point was that how did Rolf fool us all...me and this dude were so in awe of him. It pisses me off now that Rolf sold us down the river!! Yoghurt on a Stick
He first played the pyramid in 1993. Was it late morning or kind of lunchtime'ish? And the weather war warm sunny sunshine kind of weather? If so, I'm now thinking it was this year and not 2010 as previously thought.
