Do we know the date of this years ticket day?

Pretty sure they don't confirm the ticket sale date until later, recent years typically the first Sunday in October, 5th October in 2014, likely to be Sunday 4th October this time around.

Anyone know why they don't announce it right away? Always seems odd to me especially when other festivals start flogging tickets instantly.

Other festivals need as long as they can to sell out, Glastonbury doesn't. Look at V Festival, struggling to sell out this year

They probably have to arrange it with See first so they can make sure the servers are ready, get extra staff in, etc.

I've booked a holiday for October, based on it being the 1st Sunday in October. If it is any later, my 2016 ticket endeavors might have to be placed in the hands of a trustworthy and committed 3rd party (or I might have to call in every favour ever, and then some)

I'm already having dreams/nightmares about it. Don't know how I'll last three months, I wish they would let us put ourselves out of our misery sooner.
