Untz
Maybe?? I think at that time of day they'd get a good crowd, especially if the weather is good.
Matt42
I think at that time of day they'd get a good crowd, especially if the weather is good. It's a good point that they could also book a band for the legend slot instead of a solo act! Brian May and Adam Lambert?

mjsell
The Jacksons....? Glastonbury don't strike me as a festival that likes to look like they are copying other festivals

stuartbert two hats
Peter Frampton doing a 'comes alive' set ... who wants it? I'm not entirely convinced that he's quite a 'legend'!

Gucci Piggy
https://twitter.com/bbcnewsents/status/616945151672500225 Maybe?? Take away the guy on the left and I'm pretty sure that's Muse in 20 years.
eFestivals
I'm not entirely convinced that he's quite a 'legend'! what? You're clearly that bit too young. It was the biggest-selling album of all time until the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack topped it.

alibear
If the festival really upsell the "legends" angle and point to the success of Dolly and Lionel it might convince Elton. Why not give him a longer set, say 90 mins, and treat him like a fourth headliner? Haven't read the rest of the thread but I agree with this - the legend slot probably got the largest crowd of the weekend (though I did only see one headliner). Elton would be a marvellous choice, especially as there really aren't many left.

eFestivals
For the love of god Cat Stevens. they've tried very very hard to get him before, but he was reluctant to play with all the attention it would have. You never know, he seems to be more relaxed in the public eye recently. He was (I'm pretty sure) even on the One Show recently(ish).
maelzoid
I've said it before, but Elton is a headliner, however, maybe just him and a piano for the legends slot. Robbie Williams. The day this guy is considered a legend, is the day I stop going. He's a fucking redcoat at best. Tom Waits is simply not well known enough. However, West Holts headliner would be immense. He is still #1 on my hit list, but I expect I'll never get to see him.
eFestivals
Boney M? I saw them a month ago. They've got to rate as one of them most dreadful live acts i've ever had the misfortune to see.

Tuna
Fuck you all, I'd love to see Robbie Williams. I reckon FloorFiller would happily be arm in arm with me belting out all his bangers.
Caster of Worthless Spells
Bob Dylan doing a greatest hits set would be the dream. Literally just signed up to the forum to ask whether anyone reckons that Dylan could do it? I heard his voice isn't what it used to be but surely for Glastonbury he is a much more suitable legend than even Lionel or Dolly?
