Euro festivals similar to Glasto

nothing is quite like Glasto but any ideas to what has a similar feel overseas ? Want to book another festival and can't get exited about what's on over here

Sziget is big but I didnt experience any of the love / atmosphere that glastonbury brought when I went. Same with Exit wich is visually stunning in it own right. Melt! festival is visually stunning too but doesnt have the love again....

There's nothing like it in my experience. I've been to Roskilde, Lowlands, Sziget, Pukkelpop, Way out West, Slottsfjell, Benicassim, Hurricane, Northside.

Roskilde, Sziget and Lowlands are the picks for friendliness and love, but don't expect them to be anything like Glastonbury. There's nothing close to the attention to detail and absurdities.

Roskilde is the best party festival.

Sziget is trying to be Glastonbury, but it is becoming more and more commercial and strickly about money. Pohoda Festival in Slovakia have very nice atmosphere but this year is nothing much on the lineup (http://www.pohodafestival.sk/en/). Colours of Ostrava over in Czech Republic have unique atmosphere, because it is happening inside old crusty industrial space and lineup is pretty good (http://www.colours.cz/en/). Last two are also pretty cheap for western standards. Beer for one pound. Come on!

Nothing in Europe will touch it.

Sziget may have a bit of stuff going besides the music but it's not in the same stratosphere as Glasto... nowhere is.

The scale of Glasto completely obliterates anything else I've been to.

It's hard to imagine anything coming close to both the scale and attention to detail. It's remarkable how they manage to be the best in both those areas.

I'll be needing a Euro fest next year, as unless I come into some crazy money, I won't be able to go back and to from France.

Sziget is definitely worth it
