really looking forward to tomorrow.

what are the guidelines around taking your own drink down? last time I went it was pissing down so bar hopped.

Most people have a carrier bag filled with several cans of Natch so you should be ok and shops sell beers/ciders out in the street so easy to stock up.

Speaking of things people have overheard, last year at the Harbour fest I witnessed a pretty drunk guy having a stand off in the middle of the road with a bus which he wouldn't let past. To which his mate shouted "ere it's not Tiananmen Square you prick, get out of the fucking way!" (the drunk bloke did get a lift in a police van rather than the bus)

Earlier in the day I saw a grown man in white three quarter length trousers who had crapped himself in the street..

All, I think! Are forum posts copyrighted?

All original creative works, including forum posts, are automatically subject to copyright. Quite often by using a forum you grant the owner(s) a royalty free license to reproduce anything posted to them as they wish, say in a book or magazine, or to license them to others. I've taken a quick look on here but can't find any T&Cs, but wouldn't be surprised if they're here somewhere - it's common practice.

Journalists are allowed to quote for purposes of review, but there's limit to how much they can include. I've no idea how that works with forum posts - whether it would be a percentage of the post or the thread for instance. It seems to be commonplace to quote twitter or facebook posts in their entirety in the media nowadays, so there seems to be some kind of precedent although I don't know if that's ever been tested in court. Forums scarcely existed when I had to learn this kind of stuff! :)
