Fezzy_buzzer
Just to add fuel to the Mumford and sons speculation. When searching for them on viagogo, t in the park appears as a suggested search option

Alan_C
I would bloody love that lineup as far as T goes. Not enough shite amongst that lot though. I will be sad if James don't play as well.
Alan_C
Actually there is more shit that I first read there. Probably too many good ones though.

Lor1
See this Calvin Harris slot that everyone's creaming over, would it not be 100xs better having the chemical brothers there instead?
Alan_C
I don't think anyone is creaming over Calvin Harris on here. I see it as the grim reality. Chemical Brothers would he an absolute dream. If they were on the lineup, they would probably end up headlining the 2nd stage against Roses, like what happened with Noel and Prodigy this year
Alan_C
I'm not a Chaee & Status fan. My nightmare would be New Order v Roses, but surely they would never do that. New Order would lose most of their audience.

No one thought for a second we would have the roses headlining now everyone's saying its florence mumfords and Calvin Harris, there's no late licence at stathallan that was why a EDM dj was headlining on a Saturday in the first place. There really needing to think this through, edm djs attract every w*nkstain in Scotland.
DomDom1984
They want to attract these people though. Because they're part of the target audience at the minute. They don't particularly care about the sort of folk that turn up, which makes Geoff Ellis' pathetic "no neds welcome" thing a few years back even more pathetic. harryomatic
http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/bilbaobbk/2016/lineup.shtml Courtney Barnett and Father John Misty also announced for Bilbao BBK. Would love to see Courtney Barnett at TITP, her album is one of my favourites this year.
Alan_C
Aye that would go down well with me as well. Maybe earlier on in King Tuts at T for her. I haven't been taking much notice of T for a few years now, do any rumours of substance usually come about around Xmas, or has it just been a case of waiting for the first lineup announcement? Alan_C
Mumford confirmed for BST and say its probably their only UK festival appearance. Doesn't rule anything out with their BST gig on Friday of T, but if he's telling the truth about nowt planned so far, we can hope T already have the headliners booked. I don't even want to see their name on the poster, even of they had a great alternative on another stage. "It’s certainly the only thing we’re planning right now. I think, to do a big one like that, you do want to focus not only everyone’s attention on it, but our own as well. It’s quite good, from within a band, just to pull back the moment. I don’t think we want to dilute it for our own minds, or anyone else’s. So that’s likely to be the only thing, I think." If they were, whichever Euro fest they had to cancel this summer wouldn't have put out a statement saying they wouldn't be coming next year. harryomatic
Just seen Coldplay have been added as a rumour on the line-up page. Moves us a bit closer to confirming what we've suspected for a while.

Alan_C
Not Mumford from that interview. Muse, KOL? Florence on the Sunday with someone like Foals before a DJ on Saturday?
hamishrankin
With the coldplay announcement and Mumford saying they are only doing one UK festival this really opens up the Sunday headliner. This point is made every year with bands at T, do people think Muse will play 2 hydro dates in April and T just 3 months later
