Really Live Music
Margate has become the trendy seaside destination, what with the reopening of Dreamland, the Turner Contemporary and so on, so what about a chance to spend a weekend there and catch a day of great music? On Saturday 19 September, the Margate Winter Gardens plays host to the first Margate Rock & Blues 2015, with a stellar line-up: Wilko Johnson The Pretty Things Babajack Congo Faith Healers Henri Herbert Rail ale and food will be available, plus a wristband lets you in and out to wander around Margate. Tickets are only £25.50 for the day. High speed trains run to Margate in just over 80 minutes and Wilko Johnson's set is timed to end at 9:30pm so that people can catch last trains, but he's followed by lots more live music and DJs. A weekend of free "fringe" events around Margate and Ramsgate is currently being set up… Tickets & information: www.margaterock.com Edited June 24, 2015 by Really Live Music
