Everyones a bit quiet in here recently, off having real lives and what not no doubt (another announcement would help generate a few conversations mr smith if you read this) but some of us waste forever pottering about and looking at the forum getting excited about who we're going to see at the festivals so i thought i'd start a new thread

Whats everyones fav acts on the line up so far? Do you love or who do you want to catch for the first time

My top 5 (in order)

1. James (guaranteed to be brilliant, as ever)

2. Elbow (on my birthday!)

3. Soul 2 Soul (never seen them so interested to see how well they've aged from Club Classics era)

4. Billy Bragg (hopefully he'll do loads of his early stuff)

5. Mr Scruff (discovered him recently since line up was announced. Sounds intriguing.)

Vacinnes and PSB just missed out on top 5 placing.

too many I can't name 5! just back today from bearded theory and james put on a fabulous set last night, I am biased anyway but a lot of first timers said they were stunned at how good they were, looking forward to the Thurs at KC!!

The 5 'got to see' for me are;

1. Elbow - they're experts in festival performances, with Guy knowing how to get the crowd going

2. The Vaccines - having spent a spell out of the limelight, they came back with masses of renewed energy on their recent tour...will definitely get things going on Friday

3. Less Than Jake - a bit of American ska/punk...what's not to enjoy?!?!

4. Hudson Taylor - after seeing them support Kodaline on tour a couple of years ago want to see how they've progressed

5. British Sea Power - never managed to catch a full set of theirs, hopefully this year clashes permitting (not holding much hope though!)

If you've not seen them since they hit the road again I think you might be disappointed...whilst Danny never had the strongest/tuneful of voices, the years away haven't done him any favours. Last time I saw them (last summer), it was as though he'd never sung before.

Do we think this is the final line up or will there be a few more acts announced?

Theres loads missing from the woodland stage (local acts mainly) i reckon, so i think we'll get that with maybe 1 of 2 main stage calibre acts towards the start of july
