Hi Guys,

Total Newbie to Reading festival so the more help you can give me the better!!

I've booked two Friday tickets for my boyfriend and I as a surprise for his birthday. We're only really mainly concerned with seeing Mumford and Sons but with them headlining the main stage God only know what time they'll be finished! This makes it quite difficult to get back to my Aunts' House where we're staying (Rickmansworth/Hertfordshire).

Does anybody have any ideas of the best way to get back there so late at night? What times trains will end/how much a Cab would be/ easiest way of getting home/ would you recommend finding a nearby hotel?

Any other tips or tricks you can give me - what time to get there on Friday etc. would be amazing, as frankly I'm pretty nervous!

Feed me knowledge!!

Thanks in advance :)

I've done Reading day trips twice. I don't know if either of you can drive? But I found getting a car parking ticket and driving up arriving about a midday/one then when its all said and done normally around half 11 in the evening, having a kip in the car overnight and heading to where ever you ever need to go the next morning.

Obviously sleeping in the car is not ideal but saves the hassle of trains etc and will probably mean you'll relax more while at the festival.

Dunno if you will actually read this post now mind! haha, but most questions are answered pretty well on here;
