Getting to Bristol on Saturday night

Hi everyone!

My wifi and I were lucky enought to get return coach package tickets from London back in october. It will be our first Glastonbury experience and the first trip to UK as well.

I'm considering not to use return ticket to London, but leave festival site just after seeing pyramid stage headliners and spend rest of the night in one of Bristol hotels instead.

According to National Express there are bus to Bristol at 2:00, but I'm not sure if there is enought time for us to pack all the stuff and get to festivals bus station... Maybe we should take a 3:00 bus?

If it's possible, I'd like to pack our tent before the dusk and leave bags at property lock-ups. Do they provide service for large bags?

Yes, the lockups will take near enough anything so no problems packing up and leaving your stuff there for the day. I would suggest sticking around for Sunday night though unless you have flights on the Monday.

Thank you! It seems more clear now.

I don't think anything on site is more than an hours walk, so I would guess 2 would be fine. Unless you get stuck in a crowd or get lost, both of which are possible.

What will happen if i miss the bus for some reason? I guess I won't be allowed to board the next one.

Is there a way to get to Bristol without booking tickets in advance?

If you decide to do this then I would move all your stuff up to the lockup near Gate A during the day then after the headliners you aren't having to fight through crowds with your bags.

If it's your first time at the festival it's probably worth knowing that the Sunday can be one of the best nights if your are into your late night entertainment and the party really does continue thought out the night. Please do stray away from the main stages and have a look around, unless you are particular fans of Paul Weller and The Who you might find something else on at one of the myriad of other stages that will blow you away. Most importantly though it's your festival so do it however you want there are loads of people like me that will tell you how they would do it but just do what you want.

Agree with Migraine that partying through Sunday might be a good plan

Then in morning get the shuttle bus to Glastonbury town and the scheduled public bus from there to Bristol. They go each hour and take about an hour to get to Bristol

That way you get longer at the festival and it saves paying for a hotel for the night

Last year the first shuttle bus off the site was at 6.30am
