chrislk89
Hi Everyone, A group of us are looking to camp in either Dairy Ground or Pennards, so would like to enter through Gate D. We will be traveling early hours of Wednesday morning and joining the queue. I wondered if anyone had a useful postcode/route to get to the car parks for gate D when traveling from the London/Oxford area? Thanks
Plumb111
BA4 4EH This will take you to the west side of the site.
Migraine
BA4 4EH This will take you to the west side of the site. Are you sure that works from London with the local road closures? I've always used BA6 9XE and gone through Street.

Thanks see this posting as that link has a map showing ' the traffic restrictions for 2015' as its not as easy as you would think http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/192231-park-walk-east-to-west/?p=4659366 it can be done but unlikely that Satnav will have a clue about which road is closed. Migraine
I know the BA6 9XE postcode takes you round far enough to avoid any road closures I'm not sure about the one Plumb posted, if that does avoid any road closures it is a shorter route. KryziF
http://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zc7msGXvfoZk.k02z-Lz3QqjE I plotted the road closures on Google, so it looks like the postcode from plumb will take you through road closures. The road closures notice only tells you when they can close the roads not when they will. If it's not busy you might find some not in force. fur_q
If your coming from east on the 303 take the 3rd exit at the Podimore roundabout (signposted towards Sommerton) take the second right and head towards Compon Durdon, keep on that road and take a right when you get to the A39 at Street, the. Follow the festival signs. If your traveling from Oxford it's probably better to go M4>M5 to junction 23 then head east on the A39
kingjamma
If your traveling from Oxford it's probably better to go M4>M5 to junction 23 then head east on the A39 This is what I'd recommend and will be doing myself this year. In 2010 I was aiming for the west and used the postcode for the west but still ended up in the east car parks coming from Oxford. I know there will be different routes around, but M4 to M5 will be a lot simpler.
chrislk89
Thanks all, some really helpful advice. I will be travelling from london and so will use the BA6 postcode. I will let the others know the route from Oxford.
