Different dialects have different words for things. This discussion is as tedious as arguing with a French person that it's called bread, not pain.

I thought this was unnecessarily emo until I said the last word in the required accent.

christ I've lived all over the north west and north east and I've never heard it called a chip muffin WTF

down here in london the posh sods say "can I have a portion of chips and a bread roll please". I roar with laughter every time.

Ah, you get a lot more chips that way though ;)

If the headliners were bread products, what would they be?

Adele = Bloomer (round but with some substance)

Coldplay = Crustless, white sliced loaf (bland, boring, and mostly eaten by children)

Muse = Ciabatta (don't know why - don't know them enough)

Muse = French stick (fresh to begin with but very quickly becomes stale and makes you question why you bought it when its shelf life is so poor)

My girlfriend refers to sliced bread as 'cut loaf'.

Fucking hell we need an announcement...

But you see in our family we call unsliced bread 'cutty bread'.
