Neil and Co must have had word that's she's looking good for the Saturday headline slot

I'm almost tempted to have the 9/2 on offer with Betfair Sportsbook for Adele to headline the Saturday night, I can only see that price getting a lot shorter

Ive just put 50 big ones on her for the saturday.

Way i see it. If its her. Brilliant. Shes paid for my ticket. If it isnt her? Great. Theres a chance shes not headlining

Of course they were talking about it, as big as a headliner, Dolly, Lionel all mentioned in the same part of the conversation. How people are thinking the two are different things is beyond me.

Is there a chance of something this week? When do we usually hear the first announcement or is there no real pattern?

My bad I thought it was the 23rd anyway the glasto activity has heightened this last week ME & EE both doing interviews, professing to have a lot of the lineup sorted maybe we should expect an early Crimbo pressie..... Please

Let's have the Legend slot announcd this Sunday.

The legend slot has never been official though has it? I mean, it is the legend slot now, as a legend has performed in that slot for a number of years now, but at some point they will run out of suitable legends, so it makes sense not to pigeonhole themselves too much. Essentially the sing-along slot would be a good name for it, meaning it doesn't have to be a legend.

Michael was giving a talk at a time of the organisers choosing, and Emily has given an interview at the time of the interviewer's choosing - it's nothing more than that.

Emily's always been amenable to interviews at any time we've asked her, so there's probably nothing more to it than that.

Emily referred to the Sunday Legend slot as the "Teatime Slot" just last year:

We’ve had some amazing performances in the Sunday teatime slot over the years, from Neil Diamond, Shirley Bassey, Paul Simon and many others.

If GFL were about to make a big announcement then I'd have thought that would mean they wouldn't be doing interviews - save that for a quiet time/closer to ticket balance week.

while that's maybe true, they wouldn't necessarily know that they'll be making (if they were) an announcement in a week's time.

In the position of promoter, she's probably not too comfortable labelling acts as 'oldies' or 'legends' because it implies has-beens and that'#s not necessarily how an act might see itself, and take offence. 'Teatime Slot' might just be the performer-friendly terminology to use.

And helps when the bookings are somewhat less than 'legendary'.
