Coconut water (not sure I'll have any to hand at Glasto though)..5htp, and paracetamol.

At Glasto, the fresh air and the odd nap on the grass always helps. Aside from the lack of sleep, can't say I ever feel that terrible

This. Plus coffe and a full English/breakfast burrito/growler.

I've been running some experiments on myself.

Effectiveness of painkillers taken before sleeping: alka seltzer (active ingredient aspirin) > paracetamol > ibuprofen.

I need to try aspirin in tablet form to confirm these findings. Paracetamol isn't good when you're bashing the liver with gallons of alcohol, but aspirin and ibuprofen need to be taken with/after food. Probably take a mixture of paracetamol and aspirin, if that works.

Tried some esomeprazole (Nexium Control) as I saw it in passing/easier to get than omeprazole. Just as good for the nausea, but I think it gave me the shits. Hard to prove a causal link as other things may have ruined the old gut. I will try this again, but will probably stick to the omeprazole.

Still need to get hold of the electrolyte tablets and add them to the mix.

interesting! obviously not fool proof as i'm sure it varies from person to person, but perhaps my paracetamol and iburpofen before bed haven't been the right way to go. will have to give alka seltzer a try

I'm considering the fact that in the alka seltzer the aspirin is already dissolved in the water so it's more readily absorbed and other dissolvable painkillers would be just as effective. Also, ibuprofen rarely works on my headaches anyway. There will be plenty of hangovers between then and now to perfect it.
