For the record, Kaiser Chiefs were already booked for that Other Stage slot. They were offered both the chance to headline a smaller tent and play an earlier slot on a bigger stage and took both.

Someone I know watched Kaiser Chiefs twice that year. I can't even begin to comprehend why.

Not a big band at all but my choice would be The Hives. Their early set on the other on Friday in 2013 was mega! Never seen a band get the whole crowd going as much at glasto, especially in the morning. Would be a BANG of a start.

Kaiser Chiefs last year were average, but did enjoy being woken up by Liam Gallagher swearing a lot and belting out some Oasis classics in 2013.

Saw that Bastille were tweeting yesterday about being excited about going as punters, maybe they'll bring their guitars and take this slot?

It doesn´t get much better than The Hives to get the energy going, pretty sure they will play this year but don´t think they will have this slot

Just checked their site, nothing between 6th June in Switzerland and 4th July in LONDON. Got to be candidates in that case...
