Bristol to Glastonbury

Firstly, sorry if this has been asked a lot already. I'm hoping to travel to Bristol to visit a friend on the Monday or Tuesday before the festival. I'm just wondering, for whoever has done this journey before (I'm not driving) what the best possible way of getting to the festival is? Are there National Express coaches? Local buses? Trains?

it travelled with the National Express coach back in 2013. Took the 07:30 service Wednesday. Very good and quick service.

My brother has hitched it from Bristol to the festival on a few occassions with no bother. Then again, he is fairly lucky at hitching lifts - he was once on his way to a CND festival in Ireland and got picked up by a nuclear physicist. They had quite the discussion.

Anyway, I only mention it because it might be a fun option to consider.
