Ghostfest North - Saturday 5th September - Leeds Uni

Ghostfest South - Sunday 6th September - Motion, Bristol

First announcement is Friday 3rd April.

They also cleared up the changes that have been made:

"1.) Why has the festival moved to September? To avoid clashes with Slam Dunk / Download / Outbreak / Temples and every other festival in May / June. By doing this we've avoided issues with exclusivities that bigger festivals put on bands, and as such we have booked the biggest line up Ghostfest has ever had. This is part of the problem the festival had with announcing headliners late last year - both of whom were also playing Download Festival.

2.) Why has Ghostfest moved to two cities? By offering bands two shows and two payments rather than one, we have been able to book the biggest line up Ghostfest has ever had and can now fly more bands in from America etc.

3.) Why is Ghostfest a one day event this year? See above. We're also running with three stages again rather than two."

They also stated that by making it a one day festival (and with the previously mentioned fact that they pay bands twice, once for each date) they now have quadruple the budget to make it the best line-up ever for the 10th anniversary.

"We are incredibly pleased to announce the addition to seven new bands to the Ghostfest 2015 line up, joining previously announced bands Hatebreed, Despised Icon, Crime in Stereo and Xibalba.

TURNSTILE head up our latest batch of diverse acts, and they will be flying over to the UK for Ghostfest hot on the heels of incredible shows all over the world. In January they released, in our opinion, one of the best records of not just this year, but the last few years in general in Nonstop Feeling.

They are joined by NASTY, who are back by popular demand to play this years mainstage after headlining our second stage last year.

Australia's MAKE THEM SUFFER will play Ghostfest for the first time ever, with an amazing new album due for release this Summer.

SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL are making history as the first ever Russian band to play the festival! Their recent shows with Acrania in the UK have been incredible and hopefully those who have seen them live will have a taste of what's to come at Ghostfest.

France's RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR are also making their Ghostfest debut this year, having played only a handful of UK shows to date.

Joining them on the bill are long time Ghostfest favourite's ASTROID BOYS and VENOM PRISON, a brand new band featuring current and ex members of Wolf Down, Desolated and Brutality will prevail."

Not too bad, been waiting for an opportunity to see Turnstile so can't wait for that & Astroid Boys are always at their best for Ghostfest. Nasty are decent too & it'll be interesting to see what Venom Prison have to offer.

They just announced they'll only be doing on date to coincide with Ghostfest, which is in Cardiff.

Before the announcements Ghostfest said they had 4 times the budget, so not only are we getting bigger acts, they're able to pay more for exclusives (the Turnstile show is being put on by Ghostfest themselves as a pre-show).

That's a bit crap. Turnstile just played Outbreak in Leeds, and now they're going to play another Leeds based festival rather than touring. I know they played London last weekend but it clashed with Gnarwolves, and the venue was in the middle of nowhere anyway. I just want to see Turnstile really. Hatebreed are one of the worst bands I've ever had the displeasure of hearing. Crime In Stereo are decent. Not a fan of Astroid Boiz or Xibalba. Not heard anyhting by the rest but I can't imagine they're my thing, judging by the logos.

Edit: I'm not going to go to Ghostfest just to see Turnstile was my point :')

You mention Leeds based so I'm not sure you're aware it's changed, but it is also in Bristol too which is a little closer to London!

Still 22 bands to be announced and it would seem currently, they're bringing out all the bigger acts from different countries, whereas the other bands to be announced I imagine will be Ghostfest regulars for the UK.

I was really hoping for Turnstile and Slam Dunk/Download/Reading but I guess I can wait until September! :(

"We are stoked to announce the addition of seven new bands to the 10th Anniversary edition of Ghostfest in 2015!

EMMURE return to play Ghostfest 2015 having previously headlined for us in 2012. The band recently had to cancel their European tour with Thy Art Is Murder through illness so we're really pleased to have them back on British soil for a UK exclusive this September.

Joining them and making their Ghostfest debut is OCEANO, having recently released the incredible Ascendents album through Earache Records. We've been trying to book them for a few years now and are incredibly pleased to finally have them confirmed!

Belgium's OATHBREAKER are another band making their Ghostfest debut this year. Having just toured the UK and Europe with Cancer Bats and While She Sleeps a few of you may already have had to check them out live. If you haven't then make sure you do in September!

ANGEL DU$T, the punk / hardcore crossover band from Trapped Under Ice's Justice Tripp are also playing Ghostfest for the first time this year!

Longtime friends and favourites of the festival DESOLATED make a welcome return this year. It's been great to see their development as a band and as people over the years and we're really happy to have them back.

BROKEN TEETH have also confirmed for Ghostfest 2015, they will play our third and smallest stage this year.

And finishing up this batch of bands are Welsh newcomers CASEY, who will play the Festivals having completed a full European tour with Capsize and '68 over the Summer."

Really happy with Desolated & Broken Teeth from that!

Also great to see the growth of the festival... Not only are they able to get new bands from all over the world, Broken Teeth were headlining second last year and now have to settle for third stage, but also Emmure dropping down to sub despite being an exclusive due to cancelling all other dates!

"BORN OF OSIRIS will be joining us for our 10 year anniversary celebrations, playing the festival for the first time ever. We are long time fans of the band and have been trying to confirm them for years so are delighted to say they are finally making it over to the UK for us!

If you grew up going to Ghostfest over the past decade then you will have seen THE EYES OF A TRAITOR on a number of occasions. They have gone from being just a band that plays the festival to being long time friends of ours, and it's bitter-sweet to say that these will be the bands last ever shows!

Current Slaves and former Emarosa / Dance Gavin Dance vocalist JONNY CRAIG will play our third stage this year along with the UK's own SEAFOAL. Both of these artists make history as the first ever acoustic acts to ever play the festival and we're incredibly happy that they have had the guts to come and play a Festival traditionally reserved for 'heavier' music. Show them your support this September!

MARTYR DEFILED have become something of a Ghostfest institution now, and it only felt right to bring them home for a special set for our 10th Anniversary.

Rounding up the latest announcement is CONTINENTS, who are set to release their incredible new album through Victory Records this year."
