Strong set of headliners.....but I'm not seeing strength further down the line up compared to last years

I'm seeing it - Augustines, embrace, kodaline, horrors, levellers, soul to soul, Kate tempest, Emmy the great, British sea power. It's all subjective - I went last year for the headliners and was a bit bored throughout the day. This time I love the headliners AND some of the undercard.

I'm the same, there's loads on there for me. But you've got to consider they've only made the 2nd announcement up till now. Last year example didn't even get announced until the 3rd or 4th press release.

There's only 1 calling out headliner up till now. Not sure how strong the dance tent line up is cos it's not really my thing.

Personal choice i suppose.....

In other years there's been a fare few bands I've wanted to see. This year, other than three of the heasliners, there only Augustine's and Levellers that I'd go out of my way for.

Hoping there's someone decent on whilst Snoop Dogg is on.....I fear that will end in tears.

Some of the best times I've had at festivals is when I had a few hours without plans so I could wander around taking in bands I normally wouldn't.

Buy a beer and chill in the woodlands for an hour,chances are it'll be someone you've never heard of and who knows they might be decent.

I've also been to festivals and had 3 or 4 days planned out start to finish with where I need to be and when, there's nothing more tieing than that and a bit of freedom is always good

Defo agree regarding the random walking, doing this we stumbled across Catfish and the bottlemen last year, a band I now can't get enough of. Previous years have always been the same for me, finding some starting out hidden gems that what make the festival for me, the unknown bands that become massive.

I missed last year cos the line up (in my opinion) was shite.

Going back this year cos the headliners and undercard to date look good (in my opinion).

It's all a matter of opinion.

Plus, still waiting for Chai Wallahs to be fully announced.

Wait until the final announcements before judging.

If the hotpots have to be there the festival have pulled a blinder shoving them in there ! All the idiots in one place wearing flatcaps and muttering chippy tea and breaking into a conga! weirdos !

My first Kendal Calling this year & excited mainly about the smaller bands.

Cant wait to see Hyde & Beast.

Are we still to get 2 Calling Out headliners ? Can`t see how they can have much left in the kitty but with the main stage headliners and the extra numbers cramming in to the main arena they are bound to want to have someone pretty decent to split the crowd up a bit. Really is a cracking line up this year already.
