First and only time I saw them was at a volkswagon festival at long Marston airfield, and they had that tank there. It was the same weekend as some big footy match-england Germany i think, and there was about 3000 people there, expecting 30000 or so. TThem and ltj bukem were highlights for me

A band I definitely missed back when.

Will give them a listen over the weekend.

Will start with songbook. Are there are recommended live performances too? I like comparing Albums and live stuff to see how it differs.

07 gig was a let down, not helped by their slot and the crowd not being into it. I seen them in Coventry a week after that headlining Godiva Festival and they were amazing. Watch the video for Mountain People from Glastonbury instead, from '99 I think? Much better.

Ha I already had the sfa v radiohead one, and radiohead won that time...

Otherwise only cave wins from that list I reckon

It's a toughy for me:

SFA over Lykke, purely on amount of music released.

Can't make my mind up on SFA v PJ...sporting draw: SFA have a more 'fun' (ugh) side...PJ just has...'it'. < That makes fuck all sense.

Radiohead and Cave over SFA, just.

Deciding Radiohead v Cave would cause a singularity in my brain...so i'm not going there.

And, considering Jason Lytle, formerly of Grandaddy, tweeted a pic of Gruff and him at his house in Montana, I'd love to see a Super Furry Grandaddy comborgasm.

i honestly don't think i know a single SFA song apart from possibly Golden Retriever, but this forum's seemingly unanimous love for them has swayed me to check ;em out. this better be good!

Sorry about the advert, FF but stick with it.

First SFA song I ever heard, and a perfectly reasonable place to start. Short, punchy, catchy and brilliant live.
