Group of 7 of us, irish students are planning on going over. I just have a few questions to ask and help would be appreciated! I know its a different site now but a few pointers will help.

1. How far is the campsite from the lockers generally? And how many would you need for 7 people?

2. are atms easily accessible

3. Should we bring tents over or try source them in Edinburgh when we fly in?

4. Realistically how much alcohol should be brought in each?

5. Whats the chances of rain?

1. No idea at this stage I'm afraid

2. There's a few around the site. Queues can get big at times

3. Depends on how big a tent you want. Could easily take four two-man tents with you. Or buy one or two big ones in edinburgh.

4. Depends on how much you like to drink. I usually take a crate of 20 beers (5 a day) and a 70cl/litre of spirit, then buy more beer if I need

5. No idea. Probably will be at least shower at some point in the weekend. Whether it's 5 minutes and glorious sunshine for the rest of the time, or torrential storms for 4 days, we won't know until the weeks before T.

6. Yes. Good fun, pretty good line up this year. Is this going to be your first festival? If so you'll hbe a fantastic time at T.

Thanks, all advice is appreciated! Just want to know before we book

1. Will depend where you camp, never used them personally.

2. They get busy but I've found if you head into the arena as soon as it opens you'll avoid the ques and also get a clean toilet for an epic hangover jobby.

3. As others have said depends on the size. Would always go for one with two more spaces than you need. I.e. 4man for 2 people, 6man for 4people etc. You'll be surprised how much space your bag and beer take up. It's always good I think to get a large tent with one of thosebp communal rooms as it gives you somewhere to sit if it's pouring down.

4. Normally I would take a 12 crate for each day and a bag of wine or some spirits. Always still end up buying loads in the arena. Be chilled is a great option for your beer although a little pricey it'll save a lot of hassle.

5. It's scotland so 100%. It will rain at some point, how much is anyone's guess.

6. It's absolutely worth it, especially if you've never been before. What does your £400 include though? You'll need to be mindful of how much spending money you will need on top of the ticket and travel.

Tbh it just depends what you end up getting up too. Alcohol and food are relatively expensive. But you can end up spending money on loads of other things merchandise, rides and amusements, giant stuffed animals if your really wasted, camping chairs when the one you brought inevitably gets broken etc etc.

I've went some times and spent as little as £50 and other times £200. Depends how much alcohol you can sneak into the arena aswell as you won't need to spend £5 a pint in there if.

You can compare your spending to what you would on a night out in some ways. If your drunk enough you will find ways to spend money somehow.
