Baring in mind your comment is illiterate I'd say mine's more correct but I think what you're trying to say is exactly the same as what I said

No I'm not. You have put it over as being said, they said they don't expect to headline completely now, I have put it out as it depends whether they are scene by the right people as that level in the future. I don't think that suggests they don't expect to be, but more it doesn't/won't necessarily strictly be the case. I think there is a bit of a difference between saying it yourself and accepting they might in the future be seen that way.

i'll admit i'm partly responsible for this tangent onto dance music but should we get back to discussing the reading lineup now?

I mean sure OK. Obviously when I said they don't expect to, I meant they accept they won't necessarily always be a headliner sized band - but obviously they would still headline fests if offered.

Can't believe I actually responded to that. Sorry literally everyone else who doesn't care.

I know this is not relevant for the reading forum but do not know where else to write it and I am becoming a regular on here.

Anyway after festival no6 announcement is their any medium-big festival in the uk that Noel Gallagher is not headlining in the U.K it is four and counting. So what does that say about Noel and the state of festival headliners in 2016

I'm happy that Biffy are back, strange though that one of the better headliner sets I've seen over the past 4 years are having their position demoted. I wonder if they'd have been offered another headliner slot in a year or two, or was 2013 what would be considered as their peak? I feel like this could set up a really strong set of headliners next year though, assuming Muse may play coming off the back of Glastonbury and Foo Fighters will most likely be a top target as well. Plenty of bands who could step-up into a co-headliner slot as well if they're going to carry that on from this year.

it says that noel is a beast, and that we are lacking of top headline acts at this point in music history

It is really interesting the amount of festivals he is doing, and the size of them. There is a real range!

As for him playing Reading, I doubt it. He doesn't really fit in anywhere.

right, well i mean you're evidently not listening to anyone wrt to the render times for the text input, and your ad referer STILL produces porn pop ups on mobile, so you clearly have no intention of actually working on your site

don't think you are listening mate, everyone else has said it's fine

Also on the note of headliner and bands and festival states/repeat line ups etc, has anyone thought about Download? I mean seriously every year I'm stunned they get 3 headliners. Once Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth etc stop.....that's when a festival will face jeopardy.

they'll have slipknot headline all three days, problem solved

haha true, but what i mean is should we not discuss the lineup and try and predict the next announcement than debating weather or not dance music is mostly shit?

I feel like you've been here long enough to know that discussion of the lineup always results in debating something pointless.

To be honest, I think R&L probably books better dance acts than other genres at the minute. Most people here need to realise the festival doesn't really cater to them anymore and should stop clinging onto what it used to book.
