mrtourette
It certainly explains why they announced the apparently uninspiring duo of Foals and Disclosure when everyone expected them to be last.
Shootenanny!
Biffy and FOB co-headline would be brilliant for me, two headliners I love.

justanothername
Awful. Don't get why Biffy have to co headline, especially with FOB who are rancid
mrtourette
To make it look different from an uninspiring booking of a band that's only been away for two years. Edited February 10, 2016 by mrtourette

FloorFiller
i guess having them as a co-headliner kind of makes it more acceptable to have them back after such a short amount of time, even if the act they're co-headlining with could've definitely just been a sub for them anyway. pretty shite top of the bill this year for sure. wonder who the act was who fucked em over

Pretty much. I can see Jack U only being a closing set w/ an NME headliner between them and Crystal Castles tho.

Foals and Courteeners sharing some sort of fan base. 1975 a little more in the mould of RHCP and Imagine Dragons. Maybe swap the jack u and chvrches day over. DomDom1984
This two year thing probably didn't factor into the decision, nor should it. Still think it's weird to see FOB put on the same level as Biffy, but seems R&L have been put in a corner and now they're just overloading the top of the bill. Biogeneric
Thanks for the info, Neil, appreciate it. Biffy are one of my favourite bands, so for them to return at any level, even so soon, I'm really happy with. Just a shame that FR feel it'd be more appropriate for them to share their position this year. Either way, I do like FOB too, I'd just rather have the set lengths that we had in 2013. Quite a few other acts kicking around that time that may get slots. BFMV, Stormzy, Kaiser Chiefs, Sum 41, Kodaline, TLSP, Lumineers, The neighbourhood , manics (unlikely). I could of course be wrong about that. I'm not infallible. My info is that they're co-headlines, but someone else posted in this thread those two bands and said they're not - and it's not impossible that he's right and I'm wrong. I was told it was wrong at around the time he posted it, tho without getting told what was 'right' until now.

Absolutely, but your info feels like, by far, the most concrete info we have so far, so I'm happy to roll with it until (if) proved incorrect haha! Or a NME headline slot. They are headlining some pretty noteworthy festivals in the summer. But my best bet would be 4th down main stage. That would make it look like this Foals Disclosure The Courteeners/The 1975 Catfish & The Bottlemen Which is a very solid line up to pull in Reading's main target audience. meepmoop
Holy shit well this makes the lineup 10 times better for me, although agree biffy should really be headlining outright - that being said enjoy most of fob's output also up until the last album so this feels much stronger personally
DMCJ2
Don't see how the Biffy booking looks stronger by putting them as a Co-headliner with someone who was two spots below them and have been away for as long as Biffy have. lightning1000
And have changed there sound to be more like one direction on their last 2 albums.
Cammers
Yep - Would rather just have Biffy in big bold letters at the top of the poster and FOB second down. Saying that, I'm hoping Leeds gets Biffy before FOB so I can ditch FOB and go party with Skrillex and Diplo at their NME closing set.
