thistledown
I am an older woman, been going to festivals since 1970 IoW! Have hired a 4 berth caravan for the first time for 2015 and am looking for 2/3 women to share with. Or possibly an older couple. There is one double bed and 2 singles. Total cost (including delivery and pick up) is £795 and there is a refundable deposit of £250 too. So cost would be, if 3 people - £198.75 plus £62.50 deposit each. If 2 people - £265 each plus £83.33 deposit. Plus share of campervan/caravan parking please. Looking forward to a comfortable stay with own toilet and shower! No lugging of stuff miles in the sun and rain! Drop me a line if you're interested. Edited December 14, 2014 by thistledown
grumpyhack
Having done tent, big tent, campervan, trailer tent and now on caravan number two, I concur that caravan wins hands down when you get to a certain age. Nothing to beat your own flush toilet in the middle of the night. If you find it works Thistledown I strongly recommend considering buying your own. You can get something pretty decent for a couple of grand that will last for a good many festivals and give you weekends away too. That said, I've still got my trusty old trailer tent stored in mother in law's garage in Cardiff if anyone is interested.
Pear_Cider
As I've mentioned before on here, I picked one up for a grand intending to use it for Glastonbury then sell it on. I got lucky and found a really good one and I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it now. I used to rent/borrow but having my own is a real bonus. Warm and dry, flush toilet for those middle of the night visits and a fridge to keep the beers cold!
Bisque
I would like to share, but alas, I am a boy. My father has always bought me a tow bar for every car I've had due to having to tow a RIB & a trailer for the dump. What a present. No chance my EcoBoost Fiesta can tow a caravan but would it be silly towing a caravan on a 3 series coupé what with potential mud?
Yoghurt on a Stick
My father has always bought me a tow bar for every car I've had due to having to tow a RIB & a trailer for the dump. What a present. Consider yourself lucky - I had to buy and get fitted the only tow bar I have ever had attached to a vehicle. Have you any idea how let down I feel? When I saw my fitted tow bar for the first time I immediately gurned and started dribbling. It was like being happy again.

My old Fiesta was fitted, stuck about an extra half foot out the rear. Came in handy when a friend rear ended me though. The new Fiesta & the 330ci has detachable tow bars, but the BMW has the M-sport package on low profile tires so I'm thinking it'll be crap if the NFRNFC don't win.
