thenavyone
So, weird question, and I'm guessing the answer is no! But my FIL gets a roward arking pass as he has a blue badge, so he parks near the front of the campervan fields. For the past 5 years I've always camped, but after the slog of last year I'm going to try taking my van to cut out the lugging! So I have a Bongo and FIL has a caravan. Will I be allowed to tow on his caravan and both of us share the pitch? I'm not sure it could even tow it, or if it would fot on the pitch, but before I get to that part wanted to see if anyone knew if Glasto would allow it. Thanks. STEVEYBOY
As a bongo is not much larger that a normal van you might be OK and need just one pitch but I think this will all come down to who is on the gate when you enter
jamesrfisher
I have no idea but suggest you email the Festival. They are very good at getting back and have answered a number of my queries over the years. If you get an email saying yes it could help at the gate if they are reluctant to let you in. If its a no, then you have time to work out a plan. office@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk
grumpyhack
I can't think of any reason why not - provided they fit within the pitch area.
Lockstock
Get your Bongo's weight. Get the weight of the caravan. Make sure the caravan is no more than 85% the weight of the Bongo. Load sensibly, don't take three kitchen sinks, and you are good to go. I can't see G'bury having a problem as the caravan has to be towed by something. And you are allowed a tent on the caravan pitch as well as the car. So a precedent of 2 types of accom seems to have been set.
westwardhoboy
I have taken my VW Transporter campervan towing a caravan for the last 2 festivals. Nothing has ever been said by anyone upon entry. As long as you are within the pitch size measurement you will be fine. Even then my overall length is about a meter too much but has never been questioned.
robu
I've towed a caravan with my Bongo for the last three festivals (and seen several other people doing the same). No problems at all. There's little difference in length between a Bongo towing a caravan and a large estate car towing a caravan. They all fit on a single pitch.
